The High School Quiz Bowl Team recently returned from the National Academic Tournament held in Washington DC having won 3 out of 6 matches against schools from three different states and several times our size. The scores from the three victories were as follows:
Minford 190
Fillmore Varsity (NY) 95
Minford 195
Fruita Monument (CO) 190
Minford 220
Central Bucks East (PA) 180
Our three losses were very close matches as well, each of them being decided by only a few questions.
In between matches, we took an inside tour of the capitol, supreme court building, International Spy Museum, American History Museum, and toured most of the major monuments and memorials.
A group of us also took a walk to the White House for pictures as well as Arlington National Cemetery.
I'm very proud of how we performed and just want to thank everyone again for all of their support.
