The Minford Board of Education will hold a Special Board Meeting on Friday, September 13, 2024. The meeting will be held at 7:15am in the High School Media Center. 

The purpose of this meeting is to Authorize the Food Service Director, Treasurer, and Superintendent to apply to the Office of School Nutrition to participate in the Community Eligibility Provision Program to offer free meals to students, pending application approval. 

No other business will be completed at this meeting.

The district is currently receiving phone calls and having kids picked up due to rumors of a threat. As of this time, our district has not received any threats, and school operations are normal.

 

There are other schools in our county and surrounding counties that are currently dealing with rumored threats. Most relate to social media, and are being investigated by those schools and their law enforcement partners.  Minford is not one of those schools.

 

Again, there is no reason to be concerned, as our district has no threats and is operating as normal. We will continue to operate as normal, with enhanced monitoring of the situations being addressed by local schools, and if anything changes in our district procedures and protocols are in place and families will be notified.
