Rev. Paul Eugene Williams, 52, of Minford, died Monday, July 26, 2010 at Southern Ohio Medical Center in Portsmouth.

Born December 8, 1957 in Portsmouth, a son of the late Allen Williams, Jr. and Evelyn (Knapp) Williams, he was the pastor at Frederick Free Will Baptist Church. Along with Frederick Free Will Baptist Church, he served as pastor at Swauger Valley Free Will, Bloom Free Will, Tick Ridge Free Will and Harvest Chapel Church in Sciotoville.

He was a bookkeeper for E.E. Blair Construction Co. in Wheelersburg, and had worked as a bookkeeper for Colonial Florist and Reynolds Bordan and Chapman Accountants in Portsmouth, and the former Nancy Rae Supermarket in Wheelersburg.

He was a graduate of Minford High School in the class of 1976 and he was very active in the ministry and works of the Free Will Baptist Denomination.

He is survived by his wife, Paula (Shuter) Williams, whom he married on April 28, 1979 at Swauger Valley Free Will Baptist Church; one brother and sister-in-law, David Allen and Clarissa Williams of Wheelersburg; one nephew, Brandon Duzan of New Boston; one great nephew, Blaze Duzan; one brother-in-law, David Shuter of Minford; very close friends, Jeff and Crystal Middleton of South Webster, and several aunt and uncles.

Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 28, 2010 at Rubyville Community Church with Ron Parker and Ken Walker officiating. Burial will be in Bennett Cemetery in Minford. Friends may call at the church from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. Tuesday and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday.
